Discussion Topic:

Presidential visits to wilmington

Did you know that downtown Wilmington has been a destination for US Presidential visits all the way to the beginning of the US itself?

Every single US President of the 20th century - from FDR to JFK to Obama and Trump have visited the Market street area at least once. Want to learn more?

Local historian Nathan Field will give a 20 minute talk with more details about these visits, followed by our usual discussion and community happy hour. Join us for the September meeting of the Wilmington History Society on Wednesday September 19th from 6pm to 8pm.
